Microphone and Speech Recognition
Say Metronome uses microphone access for voice commands. On supported devices, the app is designed to use the device's built-in speech recognition services and prefer on-device language resources where available.
We do not use the microphone for advertising. We do not sell microphone data.
Local Storage on Your Device
The app stores certain information locally on your device to preserve the user experience between sessions. This can include app settings, selected voice language, metronome configuration, and local entitlement state for Pro access.
Network Access
The app may connect to Say Metronome web resources to retrieve model manifest information and download voice-related model files when needed. These requests are used to deliver app functionality.
Website Analytics
The Say Metronome website uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic, engagement, and the channels that bring visitors to the site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location, and referral sources.
We use this information to maintain and improve the website. We do not use Google Analytics to collect microphone audio, app voice commands, or payment information. You can manage cookies in your browser settings or use Google's available analytics opt-out tools.
Purchases
Say Metronome offers a one-time in-app purchase for Pro features. Payment transactions are processed by the platform store provider, such as Google Play or the Apple App Store, not directly by us.
If a user is under the age of majority in their region, any purchase should be reviewed and approved by a parent or legal guardian.
Advertising
Say Metronome does not display third-party ads in the app and does not use personalized advertising based on microphone input or child-directed usage.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may rely on platform and infrastructure providers to enable app features, including:
- App marketplaces for distribution and purchases.
- Device speech recognition services provided by the operating system or device vendor.

Data Retention
Information stored locally by the app remains on your device until you remove it, reset the app, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Downloaded voice-related files may remain on your device until removed or replaced by the app.
Your Choices
- You can deny microphone permission, although voice commands may not work.
- You can uninstall the app to remove app data stored within the app sandbox, subject to your device or platform behavior.
- You can manage app permissions in your device settings.
Children
Say Metronome may be used by children and families as well as older users. We aim to keep the app experience appropriate for the selected target age groups in the relevant app marketplace console.
We do not knowingly sell personal information from children. We do not use children's information for personalized advertising in the app.
Parents and guardians can help children review permissions, manage app usage, and approve purchases when required.

We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
